Mineral, Geothermal and Oil & Gas Potential Maps of Sagebrush Focal Areas – 6/24/2015

These maps were generated by the Nevada Bureau of Mines and Geology at the request of the Nevada Division of Minerals.  The purpose of generating the maps is to show those areas along the northern border of Nevada which are shown as “Sagebrush Focal Areas” in figure ES-2 of the Executive Summary of the Nevada and Northeastern California Greater Sage Grouse Proposed Land Use Plan Amendment and Final Environmental Impact Statement (FEIS) issued by the Bureau of Land Management in June, 2015.  The Sagebrush Focal Areas are described in the FEIS with several alternatives that could impact mineral, geothermal and oil and gas exploration and development.  The user should refer to the FEIS for descriptions of these various alternatives here.
