Speaker: Garrett Fountain, Tensar International Corporation

Garrett Fountain is a 1999 Civil Engineering graduate from the University of Arizona with an emphasis in geotechnical engineering. His professional engineering licenses include the states of Arizona, Nevada, California, Idaho, Montana, Oregon, Washington, Hawaii, and Wyoming. Additionally, Garrett is licensed as a Geotechnical Engineer in the states of California and Washington. He has over 20 years of geotechnical engineering and construction experience. As Tensar’s West Area Engineer, Garrett provides engineering support for Tensar’s regional managers and key clients in the application of geosynthetics. Garrett is based out of San Diego, California.

Topic: Soft Soil Stabilization and Pavement Section Optimization

Abstract: This presentation offers an insight to Tensar’s roadway solutions involving new construction, reconstruction and value engineering. Additionally, this presentation will cover TriAx Geogrids involving soft subgrade mitigation, pavement optimization, field and office tools, and APLT testing.
