Zoom Lecture – Feb. 20, 2 PM: Whimsical Names and Uplifting Places across the Nevada Landscape, by Mr. Jack Hursh. 

Join us at 2 PM as Jack Hursh shares a digital presentation on the majestic landscape of Nevada and some of its many place names. This talk will provide an overview of Nevada through a geographical lens, which complements the exhibit of the same name, opening in February at the Sparks Heritage Museum! The Exhibit: Whimsical Names and Uplifting Places across the Nevada Landscape 

Guest curated by Mr. Jack Hursh, and will be featured in the upper gallery of the Sparks Heritage Museum from February through June 2021. Please visit your Sparks Heritage Museum soon to experience this lovely exhibit featuring the personal photography of Mr. Hursh, highlighting some interesting, fun, or otherwise noteworthy features on our Nevada landscape.  Museum hours are Tuesday–Friday, 11 AM – 4 PM, and Saturday, 1–4 PM.  Admission is $5 for adults, children under 12 are free, and there is a senior discount available.  Join as a member and get free admission to the museum, and visit the website at sparksmuseum.org and sign up to receive digital updates and newsletters on future exhibits and programs.
